Nominations for officers

The Rochester Student Design Organization will be nominating people for officers. We need 4 officers in order to be a student activity group. The officers are co-chairs (president and vice president), secretary, and treasurer.

Officers must be UMD/ Rochester BFA degree seeking students. Membership is open to non-UMD/R students (RCTC students).

Officers and responsibilities:
President (co-chair) - Keep track of upcoming events, plan and run events either by self or through delegation to exuberant volunteers (highly recommended). Organize other events, talks, etc and brainstorm new events.

Vice-President (co-chair) - Keep track of upcoming events, plan and run events either by self or through delegation to exuberant volunteers (highly recommended). Organize other events, talks, etc. and brainstorm new events.

Secretary - Keep track of events (both events and grant deadlines). Maintain/add/make changes to SDO "book." Update/redesign SDO website as necessary by self, with help from other volunteers or through establishment of a webmaster position. Assist with planning and organization of events. Track volunteers to allow for thank you dinner/gift.

Treasurer - the obvious-keeping track of SDO checking account. Responsible for applying for the AIGA and UMD grants for student organizations. Track available funds for events and budget to spread money over the course of the year. Assist with planning and organization of events.
