RefWorks Errors in Mac - Try Switching Document Type

Hi all,

I encountered a fairly bizarre RefWorks error last week. The patron was using Mac OS X, Version 10.5.8; Word for Mac 2008, Version 12.1.0; and Write-N-Cite, Version 2.5 (in other words, everything was up-to-date).

When she attempted to format her bibliography using both WNC and via RefWorks, she received a series of errors that looked like this:

RefWorks reports that the problem was that she had saved her document in the '.docx' format and recommended saving it in the '.doc' format instead.

Apparently, this is, "a result of XML coding in your [sic] that the program is picking up when you try to format your document." RefWorks is working on a fix but no ETA on that yet.

Thanks,
Emily
