Consumer Health Collection Now Circulating

The Consumer Health Collection will begin circulating on Tuesday of next week. Items will circulate for a six week loan period like regular books but continue to be shelved as a separate collection on the 2nd Floor.

Thanks to Katherine and Nicole for their help with this!

EndNote and Full Text Access

A question recently came through MedRef asking if there is a way for EndNote to use the University Libraries' open URL resolver for downloading full text articles. As with most things EndNote, I didn't have a suitable answer, so I passed the question on to Jon Jeffryes. Jon responded with this helpful Accessing Full Text with EndNote.doc handout, which confirmed my suspicions on how to use FindIt links within EndNote. In short, EndNote users simply need to add the U's open URL resolver (http://tc.liblink.umn.edu/sfx_local) to their preferences and they will have the ability to connect with the full text holdings. Jon cautioned, though "...that Find Full Text still doesn't connect to all of our online holdings...so it's important not to assume that just because Find Full Text doesn't find that we don't own a copy."

Duluth Patrons Now Can "Get It" from TC

LWVDuluth1pic.jpgHi all,

I just wanted to alert you that Duluth patrons affiliated with Twin Cities programs and Rochester patrons can now have Twin Cities items delivered to their campuses. Minitex will be responsible for all of the paging of the items in all libraries expect for Wilson.

For the time being, Twin Cities patrons can NOT request items from the coordinate campuses for delivery here.

Thanks,
Emily
