Change to Color Printing

We've changed the way that we will be handling color printing in the future, and I wanted to let you know why and what the new procedure is.
The color print menu option has been removed from the public computers. For a number of reasons, patrons were sending hundreds of prints to the color copier every week, very few of which were ever retrieved and paid for. It was a huge waste of resources. In the future, patrons who truly would like color prints will need to bring files to the Circulation Desk on a flash drive. If they do not have a flash drive, they may check out ours. We'll then load the file and print it from one of the Circ computers.
It's going to be a clunkier system for a handful of people, but I think well worth it in terms of saved paper, toner and per-page charges from the vendor. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
