We are starting to receive reference inquiries from the Minnesota Department of Health and Department of Human Services employees. At this time, we do not have any official agreements with either department. If the question involves any type of document delivery (articles) or literature/information searches beyond quick look up, route all of these to InfoNOW. If you receive any inquiries you are not sure about, route it all to Todd.

The Reference Desk opening and closing procedures mysteriously disappeared last week. We have printed out a new copy and have placed it in a plastic sleeve and inserted it as the first page of the maroon Reference Handbook to the right of Reference computer A.

Hi all,
This fall semester Chacko is piloting a program where he is providing curriculum support to students enrolled in PubH 6450, Biostatistics 1. This is a core course for all students pursuing an MPH degree. This pilot program begins on 9/21/09.
Chacko will hold office hours in room 350 on Mondays from 9-10 and on Wednesdays from 10-11. He'll be in room 274 on Wednesdays from 3-4 and on Fridays from 2-4. He'll also be available by appointment. Even though the pilot hasn't really begun, he's already been asked for help by students.

While most of the literature searches we do are now delivered electronically, occasionally a patron wants to have the search printed out to pick up at the library. This happened this morning and it took awhile for me to find the search which is why I'm writing this note. We place the printouts of literature searches in a big manila envelope and file them in alphabetical order on the shelf behind the Circulation/Reference Desk, with the interlibrary loan and Get It requests . If you want the location of this shelf pointed out to you ask me, Emily or one of the Circulation Desk staff.
