Site statistics are a common tool used for blogs all over the web. They give you information like page hits, page views etc. But if you need more comprehensive statistics, like the IP address of the people who have visited your website, what OS and browser they used, the average number of hits per day, week or month etc, the easiest thing to do is to use a site statistic service. There are numerous free services out there from simplistic ones like fastwebcounter to some really comprehensive trackers like eXTReMeTracking.
I will discuss the second one as it covers most of the statistics that you may ever need.Posted by kilam002 at March 2, 2005 7:32 PM
