Michael Goodchild delivered Borchert Lecture on GIS Day
As part of GIS Day activities on the UMN Twin Cities campus on Wednesday, November 19th, Dr. Michael Goodchild gave the second annual Borchert Lecture. This lecture honors the late John Borchert, University of Minnesota Regents Professor in Geography and member of the U.S. National Academy of Science. Dr. Goodchild, Professor of Geography at the University of California, Santa Barbara and also a member of the National Academy of Science, spoke to a diverse group of attendees on "Geographic Information in the World of Web 2.0" in the Coffman Theater.
