COMING IN 2015
A new Junior Master Gardener Program (JMG) was approved at the March 2014 meeting of UMN Extension Crow Wing County Master Gardeners. The organizational phase of the program will be completed by a committee made up of several CWC Master Gardeners during the spring and summer of 2014.
The JMG curriculum focuses on horticultural education, activities and projects linked with Minnesota Academic Standards for youth Grades 3 through 12. Registration will be accepted late summer and fall of 2014 with an anticipated start of the program in February of 2015.

New in 2009!
A total of six counties in greater Minnesota as well as the Metro area were selected as pilot sites for the Junior Master Gardener Program. Crow Wing County was one of those counties!
What is the JMG Program?
The Junior Master Gardener Program strives to increase Science, Engineering and Technology competencies in youth through gardening based experiences. In addition, young people will learn basic gardening techniques, foster interest in horticulture science, and horticulture industry.
