Cold, thin drizzle, occasional flecks of snow. Light breeze from north. Mallards and coots along south shore. Mallards and the two domestic mallards along the west shore. McCain lawn sign flat under weeds in shallow water near the band shell. A small paddling flock of small geese, overflown by a large disorderly flock that look larger moving in from the bird-sanctuary pond. Sky brightening a bit to the west. Hundreds of birds (gulls?) flock in a continuous stream from the south to the (distant) western shore. Few people, dogs, or planes.
