Lumpy gray stratocumulus, just tinted with blue and pink, darkening entirely over the hour. Moderate breeze from northwest, driving waves that churn the ice rubble along the southeast shore. Solitary fisherman standing in aluminum boat some distance out. Scores if not hundreds of mallards near southwest shore, some standing on new ice there; also some coots in the water. A few gulls or terns aloft near the band shell. Four fishermen on shore. Paths fairly busy, considering the weather, with walkers and runners.
