Light breeze from east; thickening cirrostratus. Many planes, people, dogs. Immature loon foraging close to western shore. Mallards and coots along the south shore; clusters of geese close to the west. Two domestic mallards still near band shell. Three radio-controlled miniature sailboats going through their paces near the yacht club shed. Kayak; fishermen in motor boat. Milkweed shedding seeds in breeze. Rank whiff along the western shore: weeds and leaves decomposing in the shallow water. (Precipitation deficit so far this year: 6.42".)
