Overcast, mild. Yesterday's rain (a third of an inch) is accelerating the ice melt. The southern shore looks solid enough, though rough, but the drainage bay at the southwest is now large (and well populated by mallards); the western shore is riddled with Martian canals; and the northern shore has a thirty-foot edge of open water. Another small, white-bibbed domestic mallard there, this one with a brown head.
