High thickening clouds, though the sun still shines through; good breeze from the northwest crests the waves. Air moist and cooling; trees and brush touched with green. Mallards scattered along the southern shore; two (presumably) lesser scaup paddle into the wind. The fishing dock is now anchored to the shore—much whitewashed by gulls and not washed by rain. More scaup towards the middle of the lake. The other wooden dock is anchored to the north shore, but the plastic one still floats at anchor some distance away. A pair of robins on the north shore; blackbirds audible. The creek runs low, only inches in places.
