Creek-bed brown, with a scrim of green algae or moss; the creek-side fully green (except for the purple Virginia waterleaf flowers, at their peak and abundant). High clouds to south, more open sky to the north; some sun. Light breeze from the north. Mallards and swallows. Paths busy, many joggers young and old, in packs; many bikes on the bike path. Two chestnut trees, one large, one small, in impressive bloom along path to SW. Mallard with three ducklings near the band shell. A couple of flat-bottomed fishing boats on the lake, a couple of kayaks, and a dozen sailboats, eleven with white sails and one polycolored, enliven the view from the north, otherwise two flat areas of gray divided by a horizontal green line. Raucous songbirds. Honeysuckle still abundant. Yellow wildflowers TBI coming into bloom along the W path.
