Sunny, cirrus with incoming cirrostratus, breeze from the south. A few mallards; grackles, a robin; calls of blackbirds along the northern shore; no swallows in view, a couple of gulls in the middle of the lake. Water low, but transparent along the shore, away from the milfoil and algae. Paths busy with people and dogs. Planes landing without too much noise. Mother mallard and eight ducklings placidly share the water with waders at the southwest swimming beach. Violets still abundant along the creek, matched with ground ivy. Creek now dry south of the footbridge: no current.
