Many varieties of inconspicuous flowering plants along the creek.Thin stratus; good breeze from the southeast. The south shore out of the wind; some mallards close to shore, including a pair with ten or so ducklings; large turtle poised on a branch in the water. Fisherman on the bank, another in a small plastic shell like a kayak. Domestic mallards on the land near the band shell get their feathers ruffled walking away from the wind. Swallows in the air over the lake. A pair of ducklings forging their way east against the waves on the north shore; a couple of grackles more settled there. Another turtle on the west shore, on a branch in the water.
