Mostly blue sky with fringes of cloud. Darkening sunlight reflecting glare from large patches of ice. A few fishing tents on the lake. Good population of mallards on slightly subsiding creek.
Gray deck of clouds edging out the blue sky. Paths wet and busy. Light breeze from the south; two large, dark kites flying over the lake. Scores, if not hundreds, of mallards on the creek.
