So?: The photos show the different ways this particular shrub can grow above ground and how many branches it can form once breaking the surface of the soil.

Number of branches can certainly be a quantitative trait, but it is difficult for me to imagine how the odd shapes could be quantified. Also, is this one shrub or several? For a quantitative trait you would need to be measuring several shrubs of the same species...
