Homophobic Hardaway--By: Hannah Mikels
The NBA removed Tim Hardaway Thursday from All-Star weekend in Las Vegas after he made anti-gay remarks on a Miami radio show.
Hardaway, who played in five All-Star games during the 1990s, was already Las Vegas participating in activities during the week but NBA Commissioner David Stern pulled him from the various assignments scheduled for the weekend, according to the San Fransisco Gate.
Hardaway allegedly stated he hates gay people and hates to be around them, according to Sports Illustrated.
Hardaway issued an apology several hours after he made the remarks, according to the Miami Herald.
