Winona State vs. Concordia-St. Paul Recap

Saturday afternoon in the Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN, Chris Samp and the Warriors of Winona State University avenged their sole conference loss from last year in defeating Concordia-St. Paul 49-41. Samp once again was the catalyst for Winona State, hauling in seven catches for 201 yards and three touchdowns. With the victory Winona State finished the NSIC season undefeated. The only serious challenge came early in the year when the team bus broke down outside an abandoned amusement park en route to a game. Once there, the team became involved in a mystery involving a group of ghosts that would scare away anyone who visited the park. The ghosts ended up just being disguised business men who were trying to scare people away so that they could buy the property at a reduced rate. Samp solved the mystery, fixed the van using a makeshift alternator he had fashioned from parts from some broken shoulder pads, and the team made it to the stadium just barely in time for the game.
