NISO SERU Issues First Public Document

The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) and other organizations have joined to support an exploration of possible changes to the e-resource subscription/license process. The discussion is occurring through the Shared E-Resource Understanding Working Group (SERU), which has issued its first public document, "The SERU Approach to e-Resource Subscriptions." The document outlines best practices for both libraries and publishers when they are negotiating the purchase/sale of electronic resources and services.

For further information see also the press release and the NISO SERU website.
