American Theological Library Association recently announced they will not offer its Religion Database on the CSA platform after November 1, 2008. Libraries who wish to renew their Religion Database subscriptions with the CSA interface may do so this year, and may do so through MINITEX. As a promotion to introduce 12 RLG databases migrating from the Eureka platform to the FirstSearch platform, OCLC is offering up to 12 months of any new database in FirstSearch for the price of 6 months.

The offer is limited to first-time subscribers and you must subscribe by Monday, June 25, 2007 to receive this special pricing. (Package pricing for subscriptions to multiple databases is also available.) You can have access immediately through the RLG Eureka interface or wait for access on OCLC FirstSearch, planned for September 2007.

Many of the databases will be exclusive to FirstSearch, with coverage of:

• Anthropology and archaeology


• 19th century art periodicals


• Auction catalogs


• Early modern printing in Europe


• Latino reference


• Science, medicine and technology

Additional databases cover architecture, urban planning and preservation, art history, humanities and social sciences, and Russian social science.

Subscriptions to LexisNexis Academic now include added additional content and functionality, including Country Analysis and Company Dossier which were previously separate subscriptions.

Subscriptions to CINAHL on Ovid or Proquest platforms will no longer be available after July 1, 2007. As of July 1, 2008 all CINAHL subscriptions will be on the EBSCO platform.

LexisNexis will launch a completely redesigned version of LexisNexis Academic for all subscribers in 2007. A beta version will be available to all subscribers beginning in January 2007. Migration to the new service will take place in July 2007.
