New Enhancements Added to OvidSP

from the OvidSP listserv:

We are pleased to announce that new enhancements were added to OvidSP on March 31st at 11:00 am EDT/15:00 GMT.

The new features and functionality:

MARC Records
Administrators can now download MARC records for all books and journals that your institution subscribes to on OvidSP.

Non-English Language Interfaces
To support our global customer base, French, Spanish, and German speakers now have the option to view OvidSP in their native language.

Additional Enhancements

  • Users can now export search results annotations to EndNote®, Refworks®, and other standard citation managers.

  • After performing a search, the OvidSP screen remains at the search field rather than “jumping” down to the results.

  • Users can now choose to subscribe to an AutoAlert RSS feed using Google, My Yahoo!, or Bloglines.

  • The “Actions” portion of the Results Manager now appears at the bottom as well as at the top of the page; users no longer have to scroll up to the actions box to select preferences.

MARC Recors Now Available for Project MUSE

Project MUSE is very pleased to announce that MARC records are now available for journals in each of MUSE's six collections. MUSE developed the MARC records in response to requests from librarians. The record sets are full level description in the MARC21 format and include Library of Congress (LC) subject headings. Each collection's record set includes journals launched as of the beginning of the current subscription year. Updates to the record sets will be added periodically during the year as new journals are launched.

The MUSE MARC records are available for downloading from the MUSE website. The records are offered to subscribing institutions at no charge. For additional details and instructions for downloading, please refer to the MARC Records page on the MUSE website:
