ProQuest Maintenance: December 13, 2008

from ProQuest:

Dear ProQuest Customer,

The next ProQuest® platform enhancement release will be on December 13, 2008. A eight (8) hour maintenance window will take place to install these exciting new enhancements. The window will begin Saturday, December 13, 2008, at 22:00 EDT to Sunday, December 14, 2008 at 10:00 EDT. See below for a more complete list of times and time zones.

Enhancements include:

  • Non-Periodical Browse-a new Browse tab allowing users of ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source to quickly surface valuable non-periodical content such as evidence based resources and tools, reports, videos, and study paths.

  • SHIBBOLETH Support-ProQuest platform products such as ABI/INFORM, Research Library, ProQuest Central and more will be SHIBBOLETH compliant, a growing method of authenticating user access to library resources. The release will provide federation support for the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Germany. Other federations will be supported at a later date.

  • Controlled Vocabulary Update-the controlled vocabulary has been updated to include new/updated terms. These regular updates allow users to continue performing highly detailed search queries using the latest terminology leading to better results.

The following products will be unavailable during these windows:
