from OUP:
Dear Oxford Dictionaries Pro subscriber,
We are pleased to be able to inform you that the improved automatic authentication from the free Oxford Dictionaries site to the Oxford Dictionaries Pro subscriber site is now fully functional. Any user in a subscribing institution performing a dictionary search in the free Oxford Dictionaries site (discovered via, for example, a search engine) will be taken automatically to the relevant entry and definition in the Oxford Dictionaries Pro site.
It is still useful, however, to use the Pro home page URL www.english.oxforddictionaries.com as your own website link, in order to ensure seamless access to Oxford Dictionaries Pro for your users. This URL authenticates directly to the subscriber site.
From 1 December 2011 all usage reporting for Oxford Dictionaries Pro is COUNTER compliant. For guidance on accessing your COUNTER-compliant usage statistics please visit the Librarian Resource Centre at http://www.oup.com/online/us/librarians/?view=usa. However, you should note that there is a temporary drop in usage across all reports for Oxford Dictionaries Pro for December and January, reflecting the temporary issues with the subscriber site authentication.
If you have any concerns or questions about any of the above, please contact our Customer Support team at oxfordonline@oup.com.
