Enhanced PDF Viewer:

EBSCOhost features a special viewer designed to streamline the browsing of an entire issue, or all available volumes and issues, from one screen. There are also several helpful features to enable users to easily navigate and manage open PDFs, including:

• TOC column with instant access to citations with title, author and subject detail
• Hyperlinked access to full text issue contents, by article or chapter titles
• A convenient list of hyperlinked thumbnails to illustrations
• Expand/collapse arrow to control open PDF view

Three Additional User Interface Languages

We have added Dutch, Romanian and Slovenian to the existing, substantial list of languages into which users can instantly translate the user interface screens in EBSCOhost, (enabled by the library administrator).

Subjects on Result List Items

Due to customer feedback, individual records within the EBSCOhost Result List now display subject headings for all applicable databases and libraries. This feature is defaulted on for academic and medical communities. Others can enable the feature via EBSCOadmin.

We are pleased to announce that Points of View Reference Center and Canadian Points of View Reference Center subscriptions now include the Text-to-speech (TTS) feature. Audio/Text-to-speech support enables users to highlight and listen to text, and this feature also includes the following functional upgrades:

• The Text-to-speech feature has moved from the lower left to the upper right of the screen, and its toolbar will be available above the full text of articles, as well as on the search pages
• There are three different accents available: American, British and Australian
• There are also three different speeds to choose from: Slow, Medium and Fast
• The TTS toolbar is collapsible to a small icon
• The TTS toolbar follows the text so that it is not left at the top of the screen as a researcher uses "Page Down," or the vertical browser slider to read content that is below the fold
