Consider taking part in a Pay It Forward Tour with Students Today Leaders Forever, or participating in a Y Immersion spring break trip with the University YMCA!
The Pay It Forward Tour (PITF) is a multi-day, multi-city experience engaging students in service and leadership. Nou is an MLK senior who participated in PITF last spring break and took a trip to Washington, D.C. During the tour, Nou and other students participated in a variety of projects in cities along the way D.C: helped get a house prepped and painted for a family in need, took part in clean up projects, visited with residents at a nursing home, and sorted donated goods like school supplies and clothes for those in need.
Nou's favorite part of the experience was knowing that the small amount of time spent volunteering in each city added up to make a big difference to the different organizations and projects they worked with, and she would "definitely recommend" this opportunity to other students.
Students can also participate in a service-learning spring break trip through the University YMCA and can learn more by visiting the Y Immersion website. More details are available for Pay It Forward Tours here.
