Tackling the flu with the Minnesota Vikings

In our fall Children’s Health newsletter, we told you about leading-edge vaccine research happening at the University of Minnesota focused on stamping out the spread of infectious diseases among children.

Today one infectious disease in particular is top-of-mind: influenza.

The University’s Department of Pediatrics and University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital are partnering with the Minnesota Vikings to help kids and families stay healthy this flu season. Vikings guard Anthony Herrera his son Jayson teamed up with us to promote good hand-washing techniques through this video.

And representatives from University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital helped football fans stay healthy by distributing hand sanitizer at the November 29 Vikings game against the Chicago Bears.
