The William Randolph Hearst Foundation directs its philanthropy to education, health, social service, and culture, and Hearst Endowed Scholarships have significant impact across the country. An important mission of the foundation is to provide opportunities to underserved and underrepresented populations and to improve access to quality health care for underserved populations.
The School of Public Health, like the foundation, is committed to eliminating disparities in health and health care. One particular SPH student, Starr Kelly Sage, embodies this commitment and is the recipient of the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship.
