National AHEC Organization Fall Conference
Washington, DC - Oct. 28-29, 2010
The National AHEC Organization's Fall Conference will be held October 28th and 29th in Washington, DC. This meeting is designed for center directors and program directors to connect with colleagues and learn about opportunities for outside collaboration and grant writing.
The planned agenda includes a presentations by HRSA leadership on AHEC's role in health care reform, panels on new and expanded AHEC collaborative activities, updates on AHEC legislation, external relations, publications and evaluation activities, and a discussion of best practices for productive center/program director partnerships.

Grad Prep for Seniors is an event to help seniors and juniors strategically plan for graduation and beyond. Information on interviewing, internships, employment, and graduate education will be available.
The Health Careers Center at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, will host a Health Careers Fair on Monday, Oct. 4 from 12 - 3:30pm in the Great Hall at Coffman Memorial Union.
Visit with MN AHEC staff, learn about health professions programs across the University, and other health careers opportunities.
The 2010-2011 class of Rural Physicians Associate Program (RPAP) trainees completed an intensive orientation program at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities September 27th through 29th.
The students will begin their clerkships across Minnesota on October 4th. Thirty-four of the students will spend the nine-month program in rural Minnesota and two MetroPAP students will be located in North Minneapolis.
MN AHEC staff will present opportunities available around the state to enhance the RPAP and MetroPAP experience.
