2/4/2011 - Give Kids a Smile Day at Apple Tree Dental Clinics

"Give Kids a Smile" day at Apple Tree Dental Clinics in Hawley & Fergus Falls, MN

Two Apple Tree Dental Clinics will be participating in the annual American Dental Association's Give Kids a Smile Day on February 4 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hawley Clinic and the Fergus Falls Clinic.

This nationwide event designates a day for free dental care for children who may have difficulty accessing dental care. The clinic will be providing dental care to individuals age three to 20.

Services provided may include basic restorative procedures, simple extractions and patient exams. Allied Dental Students will perform cleanings, radiographs, sealants, fluoride application and oral health education.

2/3/2011 - Faces of AHEC Day at the Minnesota State Capitol

The Minnesota Area Health Education Center Network will be hosting The Faces of AHEC event at the Minnesota State Capitol on Thursday, February 3, 2011.

Program Director Barbara Brandt, Ph.D., and directors from the six Minnesota AHEC regions plan to share current progress and initiatives during the second annual event, which includes lunch and networking with Minnesota AHEC board members and staff, state legislators, leaders from the Academic Health Center at the University of Minnesota, regional partners and health professions students.
