The NHSC is a network of 7,000 primary health care professionals and 10,000 health care facilities working in underserved communities across the country, including 200 sites in Minnesota.
To support their service, the NHSC provides clinicians with financial support in the form of loan repayment and scholarships.
During his visit, Selvik did a presentation to medical students with Minnesota AHEC staff and he met with Central MN AHEC board member Judy Beniak of the Health Careers Center. He also met with students in the School of Dentistry and participated in the Government Job and Internship Fair at Coffman Union.
