The purpose of our Science Fusion series is to stimulate youth interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers. The Science Fusion events expose youth to real professionals with whom they can identify. Up to three (3) students with exceptional achievement in or passion for a STEM discipline will be honored at each event: African Americans in Science, American Indians in Science, and Amantes de la Ciencia.
Criteria for selection:
1. Only one student per nominator will be eligible for selection as a finalist.
2. Only middle-school and high-school students are eligible.
3. Achievement may be school-based or outside of school; nominators may be teachers or STEM professionals.
Travel allowance is available for students who live more than 100 miles from the museum.
