Youth Development "Brown Bag" Webinar Series

1st webinar is October 12th!

North Dakota State University Extension and University of Minnesota Extension are partnering to offer a series of four webinars 2011 - 2012 on youth-related topics.

Webinars are FREE and can be viewed live from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm (CST).

The Youth Development Webinar Series provides live, interactive learning experiences that you can participate in at your own computer over the lunch hour. Participants are able to ask the instructor questions and get answers in real time while the presenter conducts interactive discussions, questions and polls. After registering, the web-link address and handouts will be sent by e-mail 1 week before the seminar.

Issues in American Indian Education and Youth Development starts on Wednesday Oct. 19. It is co-sponsored by: The Youth Development Leadership (YDL) graduate program at the School of Social Work, in the college of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota. Students will look specifically at how the Minneapolis and St. Paul school districts are dealing with current issues in Indian education and youth development such as intergenerational trauma, the history and current status of Indian Education and what it means to "indiginize" a curriculum.
