This Extension Center for Youth Development training is being offered through YIPA. It is free for YIPA members and $45 for non-YIPA members. This training will count as two CEU hours for most boards. YIPA will provide you with the materials you need to seek approval from your board.
Examines and develops the concept of creating inclusive youth programs. Participants will explore their own and other cultural identities and examine how these critical elements impact interactions with youth. Also included is a discussion on how a culturally responsive practice creates a sense of belonging and empowerment in young people. Foundations include both lived experience and research.

The Youth Work Matters Online course takes an in-depth exploration into the foundational research and theories of positive youth development. It allows participants to interact with other youth development professionals from around the state, region and nation! Activities include synchronized group time and individual exploration.

$100 (Participants who complete the entire course may receive 2.0 (20 hours) of Continuing Education Units (CEU's) for an additional $10).
