Rockwell is a 20th Century slab serif typeface that was designed at the Monotype foundry's in-house design studio in 1934. The typeface consists of a monoweighted stroke and is based on a condensed design known as Litho Antique. Rockwell is mainly used for large-scale display (such as print advertisements) instead of lengthy bodies of text. This typeface was used heavily by companies such as Guinness and and Docklands Light Railway during the 1980's and 90's.
