HathiTrust Update: October 2012
Top news this month includes the announcement of HathiTrust Executive Committee officers within the Board of Governors and information about funded opportunities for PhD students to work with the HathiTrust Research Center. The newsletter includes updates on copyright review, the new bibliographic data management system under development by California Digital Library, full-text search, and much more. New Instructional Designer
Lindsay Matts has accepted the offer to become the University Libraries' new Instructional Designer. Lindsay will be coming to us from the William Mitchell College of Law Library where she worked as their Educational Technologist. Lindsay's first day of work will be Monday, November 26, 2012 and her office will be in room 241, Walter Library.

Emerging Tech Expo

In an effort to increase accessibility and usability of the library system for everyone, the University of Minnesota Libraries will be hosting a student panel featuring Somali, Muslim, and international students to discuss the specific barriers that they face in utilizing our services. Students will explore their experiences with various Libraries systems and discuss their expectations, needs, and perspective of the libraries. Refreshments will be provided.
