I would argue that since the Amazons belong to Brazil it is Brazil’s responsibility to protect them. I don’t think that the United Nations or any country, including the United States, should impede on other country’s territory and tell them what they need to do. I do agree that protecting the Amazons is important, and many people are aware of that. However I feel that Brazil can make their own judgments as to how to take care of their country. I don’t think that Americans would like it very much if Brazil told us what to do with our land or how to "protect" it; in turn I don’t think we’re justified to try to take care of the Amazons when it clearly does not belong to us.
