Chapter 3 was also about using the grid system, columns and picking correct font and font sizes that are not going to take away from your design. We should pick fonts that are going to complement our designs. We have to be carful with the type because if we play with they size and spacing the message could get lost. We need to always remember the guide lines of design and once we start breaking the main guidelines that is when the meaning of our designs seem to be lost and our message unclear.
Reading chapter 2 i learned new things about the grid system, it was interesting to me because the way they used the grid to set up new compositions in there art. It should be a tool that every design learns to use to help with their compositions. There was also a quote about what what makes a successful design. All though i don't agree with everything on that list i do think that the most important is the less is more rule. That saying has came up in more then just one of our readings in class, probably because it is what designers struggle most with. Once we learn to make more with less we can really make our designs successful.
