Two Maple Grove adults died after being pulled from their vehicle that crashed through ice on Lake Minnetonka Saturday, authorities said.

A man in his 30s and an elderly woman had been in critical condition at the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office since Saturday, the St. Cloud Times reported.

The two adults were pronounced dead Sunday after being recovered from their Pontiac Grand Prix that was submerged in Gray's Bay under the Hwy. 101 bridge, authorities announced.

Police officials received the call at approximately 2:24 p.m. on Saturday regarding the accident and arrived at the scene within five or six minutes, the Star Tribune said.

According to the Star Tribune, the HCMC will release the victim's names. They are believed to be related to one another.
