SaludAmericasThe overall goal of my research programs is to improve our understanding of the epidemiology, ecology, and public health impact of zoonotic infections and other emerging infectious diseases. Global impact of these infections is often linked to poverty and inadequate living conditions. I seek to identify the determinants of inter-species transmission at the human and animal interface as well as interventions that are appropriate for limited-resource populations.
