Dissent, Gratitude, Dissent

After many discussion with P&A staff without continuous appointments (some of whom disagreed with the content of my last blog entry, and some of whom agreed heartily with it and felt like he/she couldn't say so openly), I'd like to emphasize three things:

(1) I remain exceptionally disappointed a number of things that happened at the U of M this year (particularly those relating to the February 9 memo),
(2) I am grateful that I have tenure and, consequently, can say this openly, and
(3) My gratitude for having tenure does not over-ride (1)
