Clarinet Professor Alexander Fiterstein to Perform with the SPCO

Clarinet Professor Alexander Fiterstein will perform with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Danish Conductor Thomas Dausgaard on Friday, October 5 at 10:30 a.m. and Saturday, October 6 at 8 p.m. at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. Fiterstein will perform Carl Nielsen's Clarinet Concerto.

Alumni News: Julie Bamberger (Roubik) appointment and John Gilbert's recording

Julie Bamberger (Roubik) (B.M., 1995, viola, summa cum laude, student of Korey Konkol) was appointed Suzuki violin & viola teacher at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee, WI. Her viola students have been awarded prizes in the Ruggiero Ricci & Conservatory scholarship competitions. In addition to her teaching position, she performs with Festival City, Kenosha, and Racine symphonies.

WeillIbertBerge.pngJohn Gilbert's (violin, student of Sally O'Reilly) recording as part of the Baton Rouge Symphony Chamber Players of the K. Weill Violin Concerto, Op. 12, J. Ibert Cello Concerto, and A. Berg Chamber Concerto is scheduled for release this week on the Naxos/Sonoluminus label.
