Musician(s) for Wedding

I am looking for 2-4 musicians for my wedding ceremony. One musician is fine if you are a harpist or have a loud instrument. I'm flexible on instrumentation. Music will be needed for the prelude, bridal party processional and recessional (beginning and the end). Music is traditional wedding music (Bridal Chorus, Pachelbel Canon in D, that kind of thing). I estimate about an hour of work, probably less. Ceremony will be short!

Date/Time: Saturday, June 27 at 4:00pm
Location: Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.

Musicians will provide their own amplification systems if necessary.
All equipment must be battery operated or cordless, as there are no plugs at the site. You also cannot put any stakes into the ground at the location.

Please email your fee requirement and the instrument(s) you play.

Musicians for Studio Recordings (On Campus)

Jack Vishneski, instructor of MUS 3950.02 Sound Recording Lab, needs small ensembles and solo musicians to play short pieces in Ferguson Hall 215, so his students can practice running a session and using good microphone technique.

There is no monetary compensation, but musicians are entitled to copies and rights for whatever recordings are made of them. Additional post-production will have to be negotiated on a case-by-base basis.

Musicians for Museum Event

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts is looking for volunteer musicians to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the MIA on Saturday, April 4. Ensembles may select any piece of music they would like, and can perform in a gallery of their choosing (or we can suggest a gallery if they don't have a preference). We can schedule their performance whenever is convenient for them between the hours of 11am - 5pm. We are looking for 100 musicians in total to fill the galleries.

Interested ensembles should contact Elisabeth Callihan at ecallihan@artsmia.org
