The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
This is the story of what it's like to grow up in high school. More intimate than a diary, Charlie's letters are singular and unique, hilarious and devastating. We may not know where he lives. We may not know to whom he is writing. All we know is the world he shares. Caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it puts him on a strange course through uncharted territory. The world of first dates and mixed tapes, family dramas and new friends. The world of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, when all one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite.

This was the best book I have ever read. It really made me realize what it's like growing up. It was defenitely the one book where i laughed one second and cried the other. There are so many things that went on in Charlie's mind, that it really makes you think about how other people think and feel. I felt I could really connect with Charlie because some of the things he did and happened to him were so real, that i knew right away that this book was really meant for me. I am now reading more books from Stephen Chbosky. After reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Stephen became my favorite author. I do think he can really conect with teenagers and teach us soo many things. I am so thankful I started reading that book.
