Slow Down
In the story The Little Prince one of the main messages was to learn what's important in life. The story spoke of how easy it is to get caught up with life and "run in circles". It's easy to lose perspective when there is such a busy world around us. How do you regain your perspective? What do you do when your stressed out and just need an escape?

I thought the quote you highlighted was so appropriate to the rush of our mad-paced world. Yes, it's all too easy to forget that like the zen saying, things are impermanent - there is nothing to chase after. Yet, we make a lifetime of chasing around for things we don't really need. Wanting for things sometimes drives this false ambition. I liked the part in your movie where there was a halt- as Anna got out of the car and looked around. I like to go to the water's edge to feel refreshed. Listening to the waves crash or lap easily onto the shorline revives a natural rhythm I think we all ignore.

I'm a list maker. When I get overwhelmed I make a list of what I have to do. As I get things done it makes me feel like I've achieved something as I cross more and more off the list. When I'm stressed and need to escape I usually watch a movie and have a snack. It relaxes me and gives my mind a little break so I can move on and start back at the real world. In the summer time when I don't have homework I like to scrap book when I get overwhelmed, it's a good time, and I don't feel guilty for not doing homework!

I regain perspective by slowly drinking a cup of coffee while listening to some amazing song (usually by John Mayer or Tracy Chapman). I take the time to let go and not be so uptight!
