Wiesel Prize in Ethics °

Deadline (YR.MM.DD): 2014.12.08 (for 2015 Prize)

Annual essay contest challenges college students to analyze urgent ethical issues confronting them in today's complex world. Contestants must be full-time JUNIORS or SENIORS at U.S. institutions. Citizenship is open. First prize $5000; second and third prize, and two honorable mentions, also awarded. Undergraduate Awards Program, Ireland °

Deadline (YR.MM.DD): 2015.06.01 (expected deadline for final submission; earlier preregistration is required)

Recognizes outstanding research and creative work by undergraduates in Ireland and worldwide. JUNIORS, SENIORS, and RECENT GRADUATES in any major may submit their outstanding, A-graded original work, such as a course paper, honors thesis, or arts portfolio, to this annual competition. Citizenship is open. Students from any institution may participate, but the program focuses on top students at top universities, including the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. 30 submissions will be selected for the award and will be published in the Undergraduate Awards journal. Winners are invited to the UA Summit awards ceremony and day of activities in Dublin, with flights and accommodations covered by the organization. Glamour Magazine's Top Ten College Women °

Deadline (YR.MM.DD): 2015.07 (Expected deadline for 2016 awards)

Recognizes academic excellence, leadership experience, and involvement in campus and community affairs of female college JUNIORS. Applicants must be full-time Juniors with outstanding academic records; citizenship is open. Winners receive a $3000 prize, a trip to New York, a meeting with top female professionals, and recognition in the magazine.
