I wouldn’t say that any particular film influenced me in any drastic way. Yes, I believe that everyone is influenced at least subtly, whether it is the fashion that the characters possess or the attitude they express. I often relate myself to many characters in films, and perhaps adjust myself to display the qualities that the characters express. I think many people see characters in the movies as role models, and if that is the case, then they are heavily influenced by how the characters look and act in the film.
I don’t have any favorite films, but there are ones that I do like more than others. I find the comedies and horror films very entertaining. I think that it is because I am able to get into the film. For example, the horror films increase your heart rate as if you were in the same scenario and the comedies keep you laughing even after the joke as if you were actually talking to the person.
I take pictures and/or shoot film because it helps keep memories. Without scenes from the past, I wouldn’t remember the good times of my life. I also think that it is necessary to see history in detail.

1) I would have to admit that yes, some movies have changed the way I think about things and have made me look at other things differently. I wouldn’t say they have changed me significantly, but they have altered my way of thinking and have given me a new perspective to think about (depending on the film).
2) My top three films (as of right now) and why:
John Q: it reminds of the current health care situation and how so many people cannot afford basic health care coverage even today. On the other hand, it reminds me of how cruel people can be that they basically are willing to deprive a dying person of medical attention if they don’t have the financial support.
The Sixth Sense: Perfect ending. I guess that’s all I can say.
Blood Diamond: a movie based on the crisis the people of Sierre Leon (Ivory Coast) went through as foreigners basically robbed their countries resources (specifically diamonds) to make the big money overseas. Based on true accounts, the movie was a great reminder and a flash back to the current situation in Iraq (they should make a sequel to the movie and call it “Blood Oil”).
3) I take pictures and shoot films because I want memories of my younger days, of my family, of my friends and everything I grew up with so that I can share these moments with my family in the future. “A picture is worth a thousand words” and I’ll add that a film is worth a million. Instead of trying to remember past memories when I’m old and senile, I’ll just show the pictures and let the video’s do all the talking.

Many films have influenced me; however, the most recent movie that has influenced me is The Pursuit of Happiness with Will Smith. The film really makes you realize what you have and not take it for granted. As for my top three favorite movies, I can’t pick just three so I listed a ton of my favorites: Tommy Boy, The Departed, Old School, The Blues Brothers, Mean Girls, Blow, Animal House, Happy Gilmore, Major League, Gone in 60 Seconds, Office Space, Mighty Ducks, Fast and the Furious, Blue Streak, Caddyshack, Wedding Crashers, Slap Shot, Gladiator, Braveheart, Ocean's 11, Spinal Tap, Borat, and most 007 movies. I mostly take pictures because they are a visual memory of the past. Every time you look at a particular picture it brings back a good memory of something that you may want to remember forever. I don’t really film anything because I don’t have a video camera. However, I do take short digital clips on my phone when I see something worth saving.

I can't say that there are any particular films that have influenced me in some significant way but there are types of movies that have influenced me. For example, horror films have influenced me to be scared of things that I probably don't need to be scared of. This might sound silly but watching scary movies gives me more reasons to be scared and puts ideas into my head of things that could happen to me like when I am staying home by myself. So in that way, films have influenced me in terms of the way I think.

I am more of a chick flick and comedy movie watcher. I do enjoy action movies as well but as for my top three they would be as follows: The Notebook, Steel Magnolias, and the one and only Dumb and Dumber. I guess I love the first two movies because they are the types of stories that one can relate to and they either give me a good cry or laugh. Dumb and Dumber is my favorite comedy because no matter how many times I watch, I laugh hysterically.

I guess that I take pictures more than I shoot film and I do this because pictures can caputre a moment and can be framed forever. Pictures allow me to enjoy the memory any time I glance at it whereas film, which I do like to do as well, requires me to plug in the video camera and watch it on tv, which takes more time.

I find that many films influence me. Every time I watch one that I like, I think about what I liked about it afterwards. I agree with Kyle when he says The Pursuit of Happiness affected him. I find it very inspirational and I think it’s a good film for people to see. I enjoy all types of film, but my favorites seem to be comedy, romantic comedy and suspense. I would have to say my three favorite movies are:

1. Mystic River is a movie which was made after the novel, but I preferred the movie. The movie is very complex and suspenseful, and I think it was well written. I like having to figure out the plot.
2. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is also one of my all time favorites. It is a romantic comedy about battle of the sexes and I think the plot is funny because it is so unrealistic.
3. Old School- I find this film to be timeless because every time I watch it, it is just as humorous as the last time. I love Will Ferrell, so that might have something to do with my inclination towards it.

I think the major reason I take pictures is to have memories. I typically don’t take a lot of pictures, just on special occasion. I think pictures tell a story, and make people remember things. They are important to have and I think people are now starting to prefer digital photos over print. Most of the pictures I have are on my computer.

Some films that come to mind when I think of some of the ones that affected me in some way would be, Dangerous Minds, 8 seconds, and Mona Lisa Smile. They all have very important lessons that influenced me in one way or another.
These amazingly are also my top three films because I think of them now and then when I get into situations where they have a way of helping me out.
I take pictures because I want to remember memories with friends and family. To cherish moments that remind you of times when you are the happiest.

I guess you can say that every film influences you in one way or another since they are meant to play on our emotions, they can influence us to feel happy or sad, scared or excited. However, a film that has influenced me in a bit more meaningful of a way was Al Gore's global warming documentary. It really increased my awareness on the problems our earth will face in the near future unless we start to act.

My top three films are Pretty Woman, Top Gun and Gone With the Wind. I am sure there are many many more but those were the first three that came to mind. I love Pretty Woman because I like chick flicks and its got a pretty empowering message to women as well as being entertaining. It shows that anything is possible. Top Gun is just a great romantic story and so is Gone With the Wind. I kinda like GWTW because it gives you a glimpse into what life was like back then, like the fashion and the culture.

I take pictures because its fun at the time and to capture the moment. I will take pictures when I am out with friends and family and having a good time. Its also fun to take pictures and put them into an album to show friends and family who weren't there to experience something like studying abroad. But mostly its just to be able to have something to look back and remember.

I can’t think of any movie that has affected me in a significant way, apart from the temporary “That looks cool, I want to do that,” feeling. Actually, I guess it depends on the movie; for example, Hollywood films that are designed for entertainment probably little to no effect. However, if it is a documentary film on the AIDS epidemic in Africa or the depletion of the Rainforest it would have a greater effect on me in the way that I want to help. Like the movie Kilowatt Ours, I advised my parents and my roommates to switch to energy efficient appliances and what-not. As for my three favorite movies: Good Will Hunting, City of God, and Snatch. I don’t know why I like these movies. I have often wondered myself what the allure is, but I can’t put my finger on it. I don’t take videos or picture very often, because I don’t have a camera or video recorder. I wish I did, because it is nice to have a picture to go along with a story. Pictures are nice physical memories that aren’t locked inside your head confined to a foggy memory. Pictures are concrete and provide subtle reminders of what was actually happening at that moment, if only for a moment. If I had a camera I would probably take more pictures and not remember life not only as what I thought it was, but also as what it actually looked like.

* Have particular films affected or influenced you in some significant way?

Yeah, some films have affected or influenced me. I wouldn’t say a particular film has changed my life or decision making drastically, but has made me think of things differently or help open my eyes wider.

* Name your top three films, and briefly explain what you like about each.

I can’t name my top three because I have a lot of favorite films and they are not in any specific order. I like to watch all sorts of films. My favorites off the top of my head would be King Kong, Lucky # Slevin, Casablanca, Shawshank Redemption, Notebook, and many more. I enjoy watching comedies but I really don’t have a comedy favorite. I think I like movies with meaning. For instance, in King Kong, she tried fighting for what she loved as Kong did for her. Shawshank, the main character tries to escape, and by making the wrong right.

* Why do you take pictures and/or shoot film?

I think the main reason why I shoot film and pictures is for memories. And when you look back at the pictures or film, it gives you happiest, laughter and even give you other memories like for example if you miss your friend who has passed on, and you look at the his or her picture, it brings back all the memories you guys spent together and it makes you sad too. And besides, you can show it to people who weren’t there, like your kids and your grandchildren. I am dreaming of and working at getting a career in the film industry and it’s a passion for me. It’s great to have an idea that’s in your head come to life and let it bring entertainment to others. It’s a great feeling and accomplishment.

I have 3 favorite movies.

1) Gladiator - I love the older movies where the men are the warriors and your ability to fight and use a sword defines your power as a man. I don't exactly know why it just gives me a good feeling seeing good overcome evil. There is also so much integrity that it is inspiring.

2) The Thomas Crown Affair - This movie is sleek and sexy. I love Mr. Crown and his passion for art and the extent he will go for it even though he has everything. I enjoy how intelligent, respected, and smooth he is. I guess I just want to be like him. He inspires me.

3) Wedding Crashers - This is my all time favorite comedy. I think Vince Vaughn is hillarious. This movie is filled with so many incredibly funny phrases and one liners it is an all time classic.

Overall I enjoy all different types of movies, from comedies to horror. I think they inspire me right away during the movie and shortly after, but don't have lasting effects. In the end they are just a movie and nothing more than entertainment to me.

I really dont take pictures, I try to let girls take care of that. Its really because I dont have anywhere to put my camera as opposed to girls who have a purse. When I'm with just guys we dont think its that important to take pictures. I do have to admitt that I enjoy looking at pictures even though I dont like taking them.

All of the Rocky movies have significantly impacted the way I react to situations and taught me never back down from a challenge, I draw strength from them when odds are against me and when people say it can't be done. So I try to watch the rocky series at least once a year.

My top three movies would have to be:

1) Rocky 1-6 if you count them as one. Becuase of the above reason and also that it shows you how to make your dreams come true through hard work and persistence.
2) The pursuit of happyness- i love inspirational movies and since this movie was based on a true story it made it that much more appealing.
3) Rudy- It is a complete package: sports, inspirational and based on a true story.

I take pictures to remind me of those special occasions and not so special moments that takes place. So on those days when it's not going so good for me, i can take out those albums and think of how good life was and that puts me in a great mood instantly. Also to share pictures with friends and family who were not there with you so they can see what they missed and how much i missed them.

* Have particular films affected or influenced you in some significant way?
None I can think of.
* Name your top three films, and briefly explain what you like about each
Star trek voyager
-fun, sci-fi (one genre I like)
Spaceballs
-comedy/parody (silly comedy; I like simple exaggeration-type comedy)
harry potter
-fantasy (another genre I like)
* Why do you take pictures and/or shoot film?
I suppose people normally take pictures/shoot film to record a precious memory for later view... human memory isn't perfect, so a little aid helps; plus, it's one that can be shared with others.

3 favorite movies- i love western movies so, The good the bad and the ugly, open range, and 300

Films affect me right after i watch them, some movies make me feel sad or excited or make me think about changing some of the things that i do, but after a day or so that feeling is gone for me.

Why do i take photos or film? Mostly for memories and something to look back on, what i take photos of are things that i will only do once a lifetime or something signiciant that when i'm old i can look back on it and remember things.

Films generally have an affect on me. Whenever I go to the movies or watch a really good movie on TV, I either end up feeling really good and happy or sad, sometimes even confused. There's really no movie that I can say "changed my life and the way I look at things." Most of the movies that I see I think of as just "cute."

My top three movies:
Flightplan - suspense
The Lakehouse - suspense/drama
The Naked Gun series - comedy

I usually don't take pictures or videotape things, just because I kind of rely on other people to do it for me. I don't like taking pictures of myself, I'm very critical of the way I turn out in pictures. I have a ton of picture on Facebook of me and my friends that are tagged pictures because I just don't really care too much to do that.

I think that the reason people take pictures is to remember and capture moments that they can later share with others. Pictures are items of remenicense.

1) I wouldn't say that films have significantly impacted teh way I live my life but, as one could speculate, there are often times messages or themes that stick with me. Especially when going to a movie theater, the experience is much more immersed and it feels so "real" that I often walk away with some kind of new inspiration, knowledge, etc.

2) I am actually not a very avid movie fan and rarely sit down to watch a movie. I haven't been to a movie theater in a few years. Typically if I do decide to sit down and watch a movie however, I greatly enjoy it. Two of my favorite comedies are Tommy Boy and Dumb And Dumber. I think a lot of that can be contributed to the fact that when I first viewed the films, I was much younger and enjoyed the crude humor. I also greatly enjoyed American Beauty and Braveheart, both of which were much more mature films and had a much deeper, thought provoking appeal.

3) I love taking pictures and film mostly for the artistic aspect. I love documenting time and also editing it. I'm very creative and love to make art. It also serves as sort of a permanent memory. Memories are always there but picture and video serve as concrete evidence to the past.

Yes, certainly films have affected me personally in some or the other way, but I can't say that it was in a significant way. I watch films just for fun and entertainment, so at the end of the film I don't really dig into it or try to understand what the director had to convey. But films with purposful themes and meaningful endings have always 'moved' me. I am not a very big fan of Hollywood movies, my major focus is on the Bollywood movies, so naming a few here wouldn't make much sense. The only movie I can think of now is Titanic, I absolutely adore it as along with the best direction, amazing photography etc..it also showed us how to work under intense pressure. The othere geners I like to watch are mystery/suspense, comedy and social/family drama.
For me, taking pictures and shooting small films is a hobby. I think I do it because I like to share with others what I see and experience. It also helps me in building memories for future. Pictures also keep us connected and helps us in getting back in the past, in a way it helps us to learn from our past and get better.

I think that films affect every person in some way; that is the point of movies. They play to your emotions, whether it’s through humor, drama, or action. I don’t know if I can think of one movie that has really affected me personally. I think that one of the most moving films I ever saw was Crash, it was incredible!
I use films as a form of escape. I tend to be drawn to light hearted, feel-good movies. Dark or depressing films definitely affect my mood, so I try to avoid them. My top three movies are the ones that are my anytime movies; I can always throw one of these on and instantly get in a better mood, My two favorite movies are A League of Their Own, Rear Window, and Sleepless in Seattle.

I take pictures like nobody’s business. I love them! I have at least ten photo albums at home with pictures from high school until now. I take pictures for the memories. When I travel, I think of pictures as my souvenirs. I don’t need a little tchotchke to remind me of a place that I’ve been, but a picture is really worth a thousand words.
