Quick Info on Diabetes

Diabetes affects millions of people, and surprisingly, many people do not know very much about the condition. Diabetes comes in two types, which are simply named type 1 diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes. That link gives a good explanation about the differences between the types of diabetes. To put it simply, type 2 diabetes is less severe than type 1 diabetes.

One way that people affected by diabetes can treat it is with a healthy diet. A Diabetes Diet is one that is low in sugar and salt, based on grains, fruit and veggies, and low in fat. So pretty much, just eating healthy in the general sense is important for treating diabetes.

Diabetes is a widespread condition in America, and it's important to be aware of its affect on millions of people.
