Interesting Information on the Medical industry

What Exactly is Cialis and Is It Right For You?

Developed by the biotech company ICOS, the drug tadalafil was approved by the FDA in late 2003 for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED, or male impotence). Marketed by the pharmaceutical firm Ely Lilly & Company under the brand name Cialis, the drug is the third pill approved in the US for the treatment of ED, after Viagra (1998) and Levitra (August 2003).

Available by prescription only, Cialis has become extremely popular among men suffering from erectile dysfunction. Unlike Viagra, which lasts for approximately four hours, a single dose of Cialis typically lasts for 36 hours, prompting some to call it the "weekend drug."

Millions of men who have experienced difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection have turned to Cialis for help. The drug helps increase blood flow to the penis, and has helped men of all ages achieve longer and harder erections, and greater satisfaction with their sex lives. Yet despite the impressive results that many men have reported after using Cialis, it is important to understand that it is not for everyone.

Who Shouldn't Take Cialis?

* Cialis is available only by prescription and is recommended exclusively for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. To know for sure whether you have this condition, you must consult with a qualified, licensed physician. The physicians at eDrugstore.md are US-licensed, and they will use your free and confidential online consultation to determine what treatment is right for you.

* Cialis is not recommended for recreational use. Men who have not experienced erectile dysfunction should not take Cialis.

* There is no clinical evidence to suggest Cialis stimulates sexual desire, and therefore it should not be taken as an aphrodisiac or to increase sexual excitement.

* Men who are taking another drug to treat their erectile dysfunction should not take Cialis. Similarly, it is inadvisable to take Cialis if you are undergoing some other form of treatment intended to improve your erections.

* Men who take nitrates in any form should NEVER take Cialis, since taking the two in combination with one another could result in a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Nitroglycerin, commonly prescribed for chest pain, contains nitrates, as do a number of other prescription medications.

* Some recreational drugs like amyl nitrate (aka poppers) also contain nitrates. Do not take Cialis if you use amyl nitrate or similar drugs.

* Cialis works for up to 36 hours. Do not take it unless you intend to have sex within that time period.

* Anyone who has been advised not to engage in sexual intercourse because of cardiovascular risk should not take Cialis. This includes men who have recently suffered a stroke or heart attack.

* Men who suffer from low blood pressure, also known as hypotension, may be advised not to take Cialis.

Cialis Side Effects To Know About

In the event that your physician determines that you have some level of erectile dysfunction and that Cialis could help, be aware of the possible side effects you may experience, some more common than others:

* The most commonly reported side effects from Cialis are headache, congestion, upset stomach, muscle ache, back pain and flushing.

* In rare cases, men have experienced sudden decreases or changes in vision after using Cialis.

* Also on rare occasions, men taking Cialis have reported a condition known as priapism (an erection lasting more than four hours). This condition requires immediate medical attention.

The best way to know whether Cialis might help with your erectile dysfunction is to consult with a physician. At Edrugstore.md, our physicians will professionally evaluate you in a confidential online consultation and make a recommendation based on your health condition and risk factors. If you qualify, you may join the millions of men who have used Cialis as a safe and effective way to improve their ability to achieve and maintain an erection.

The Wedding Checklist

A wedding involves lots of preparations and the bride and groom find it rather difficult to keep all their tasks in order in their minds. Weddings and planning often also involve large budgets and decisions, so the best thing that could be done to help you remember your work and thus reduce your headaches related to the smallest details involved in a wedding, you could prepare a wedding checklist.

The main advantage of having a wedding checklist is that it can be altered to fit your needs as the wedding closes in. There may be things that you remember later that you could add to the wedding checklist as you remember it. Details with wedding vendors might change over time, or certain decorations and supplies might not be available. Moreover, there is a great sense of satisfaction in you once you start checking off completed tasks from the wedding checklist.

With a wedding checklist, you can become much more relaxed on your wedding day as you will know that you have not forgotten anything while preparing for the wedding. Once you know that nothing can happen to ruin your special day, you can relax and enjoy the day to the maximum.

It is preferable to start on the wedding checklist not a few days or weeks before the wedding, but about six to twelve months before the wedding. You then add points of all the arrangements that have to made for the wedding like the wedding photographer, florist, caterers, tailor, DJ, reservations of the church or wedding hall, a suitable location of the reception, honeymoon bookings and many other points that go into the preparation of a wedding.

You also have to include your guest list in the wedding checklist and the task of ordering and dispatching wedding invitations. Then there are the wedding gown, the wedding attendant’s dresses, the attire for the groom and groomsmen and the wedding rings that have to be present in the wedding checklist.

Once you have completed the arrangements according to the wedding checklist, you have to cancel the entry from the wedding checklist. There will be some work that you have to do only a few days prior to the wedding like ordering the wedding cake, sending invitations and the final fittings for everyone’s wedding dresses. Place reminders on such chores on the wedding checklist.

There are other things that you can add to the wedding checklist like the guest book, thank you cards, decorations, wedding favors, limo service and other things. It all depends on the theme of the wedding, season of the wedding and your budget. It is advisable to go through the wedding checklist again about a month or six weeks before the wedding day to ensure that you have not forgotten anything.

Don't Lose Contact After Graduation Everyone!

Finals are finally over. You will never have to worry about that statistics class again. Your room is packed. You are loading up your car and you look over at the building you called home for the last four years. A sad feeling starts to roll over you… Will I ever see my friends again? Friends that had become my family were now leaving for the four corners of the world. You are sure going to miss them.

You made sure you got all their addresses and phone numbers but a fear is in the back of your mind that you will lose touch with them. You have to make sure it doesn’t happen. You just have too much history together.

One of the best ways to stay in contact is through letter writing or holiday cards. Email is great but tends to be a little impersonal. It will be too easy to make a list of contacts and send a group mailing to your friends. Eventually their individuality will fade. You will lose that close feeling that you once had.

Start writing letters. Write real letters or cards that arrive at their mailbox. They will feel so special that you remembered them enough to write a letter. And make sure at the holiday season you send cards to them. Include personal notes inside to keep them updated on all your activities.

When you send holiday cards pay special attention to the card itself. You could order cards online with imprinting. The selection is huge and their price is usually less expensive that your local greeting card store.

Try to find a card that represents your personality. If you were golf nut in college, try and find a card with a golf theme. This will make them laugh and take them back to the goods times you spent together.

Throughout the years your contact with one another may dwindle to only holiday cards. This makes it even more important that you don’t discontinue this practice. Take the time each holiday to make sure that you send each one a card. Add a personal note letting them know that even through the years they are still important to you.  You could add family photos to show how you and your family are growing.

It is so important that you don’t lose contact with all these great friends you made in college. They are the only ones who knew you when… Christmas cards, Holiday cards or any type of greeting cards are a great way to continue your relationship.
